Kramer Law, P.C., is proud to announce that Governor Phil Scott has appointed Theodore C. “Ted” Kramer, Esq., to the Vermont Uniform Laws Commission. The commission serves as Vermont’s representation within the national Uniform Law Commission (ULC), where appointed lawyers, judges, and law professors research, draft, and recommend uniform laws on important legal issues for adoption by state legislatures. At the state level, commissioners review, modify, and advocate for enacting these model laws, such as the Uniform Commercial Code, into Vermont state law.
Boards and commissions in Vermont play a vital role in state government, offering opportunities for civic participation and ensuring that a broad range of professional and community perspectives inform policy decisions.
Ted has more than 40 years of experience in personal injury, Workers’ Compensation, civil rights, labor and employment, business, and criminal defense legal matters. Over the course of his career, he has built a reputation as an established leader, passionate advocate, and accomplished litigator, both in and out of the courtroom.
Ted has long been engaged in advancing justice and supporting the legal profession. He regularly works with clients and colleagues to navigate complex disputes and statutory frameworks, experience that will help to inform Vermont’s participation in nationwide law development in his role with the commission.
Ted has been named a Platinum Client Champion by Martindale-Hubbell and has repeatedly been recognized by the Brattleboro Reformer Reader’s Choice Awards as the “Best Lawyer in Brattleboro.” He is a member of the Windham County Bar Association, Vermont Bar Association, and the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
